The Waterloo Catholic District School Board with a total student population of 38,000, provides services to students in 52 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12) across the Waterloo Region. The WCDSB also operates St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres across 4 campuses and various WCDSB school sites.   

The WCDSB also operates numerous Adult Learning and Continuing Education programs through St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres.

G eneral Description of Duties:

  • Compose, process and complete all correspondence including letters, reports, memos, emails as necessary and directed. 
  • Sort and arrange for incoming program area deliveries or courier mail and arrange courier pickups and delivery. 
  • Registration of students, including completion of applicable registration forms, ID verification and student Correspondence orientation process. 
  • Collection of debit machine payments.    
  • Maintain a register of all Correspondence students and courses taken.
  • Complete Ministry of Education registers at designated times throughout the school year. 
  • Report to and liaise with the Correspondence Program Manager and Administration.
  • Liaise with Correspondence markers (teachers) and assist with resolving problems that arise with students, assignments, and assessments. 
  • Use a variety of different software (D2L, Bookings, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Forms, ASPEN, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access) to produce letters, memos, reports, and communications.  
  • Reception coverage duties – including receiving/directing students and visitors, recording and distributing messages, responding to inquiries by phone and in person. 
  • Maintain, operate and monitor general office equipment such as photocopier, etc.  
  • Create and maintain tutoring and exam calendars.
  • Assist with student engagement tasks as needed. 
  • Assist with main office duties as needed and directed.  
  • Be knowledgeable about course D2L shells to reply to student and staff inquiries. 
  • OCAS mark reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.  

J ob Requir e ments :

  • Two (2) year college diploma in a related field in either Business Administration or Office Administration.
  • 1-2 years similar work experience. 
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player. 
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills in a busy work environment. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with external and internal contacts. 
  • Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, decision-making skills. 
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings as well as regular office hours. 
  • Working knowledge in ASPEN, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Forms, Bookings, Word, Excel. 
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in an office environment with frequent interruptions and deadlines. 

Hourly Rate: $29.58 – $31.08 per hour

Hours of Work:  35 hours per week, full-time permanent (10 month)

Weeks/Year:  Approximately 43 weeks/year

Shift:  Monday to Friday, 8:00am -4:00pm (unless otherwise confirmed by the Administrator)

Location: St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centre - Kitchener, ON

Effective Date: August 31, 2026
